In aviation LMQ have been involved in developing standards and training programmes for flight crew, cabin crew, engineers and air traffic controllers to help these operators to perform even more effectively and safely.
We have been in business for 20 years and have a small but very experienced team of about 10 consultants. Our success is in providing our clients with help in both developing their senior management team and then setting an agreed strategic direction. When this process is cascaded downwards, there is normally a change of gear in the organisation.
We are one of the leading independent consultants who train pilots in leadership, teamworking, communications, planning and decision making skills. In addition we have played a core role in providing advice and guidance to both UK and European government safety agencies on improving training standards in these subjects.
LMQ have been involved with most areas of aviation, including the military, and have trained pilots, cabin crew, engineers, air traffic controllers, operations staff and airline managers in human factors skills. Over the last 6 years LMQ have also been running the Facilitation Skills for Flight Ops Inspectors Course for the CAA.
LMQ Consultants have been involved in assisting the drafting of recent legislation on CRM Instructor standards and accreditation, and the production of the CAA publication CAP 737.
CRM Assessment
CRM Assessment is now a requirement in accordance with JAR OPS. The requirement states that CRM assessment must be carried out on line checks in accordance with a methodology acceptable to your national regulatory authority.
In the UK the Civil Aviation Authority has indicated that operators should have a methodology in place, so that they can begin to carry out formal CRM assessments. This methodology is NOT just the adoption of a set of standards such as NOTECHS, but the implementation of a number of measures aimed at safeguarding the line pilots - and ensuring that assessment is accepted positively
