Aircraft Registry - Managed Service
|
Isle of Man Government - Department of Trade & Industry |
The Project |
The Isle of Man has recently introduced an International Aircraft Register, for non-commercial Aircraft. The Country designator is “M”. This is the first dedicated corporate aircraft register service in a European time zone. The client required a service that would support the Aircraft Registry to execute policy regulations and recommend certificates of airworthiness and certificates of registration. |
The Challenge |
The department needed access to the skills and experience to conduct recommendations of aviation air worthiness. The law prohibits an aircraft from flying unless a certificate of airworthiness, issued or rendered valid under the law of the country in which the aircraft is registered or the State of the operator, is in force in respect of the aircraft. The Department will only issue a certificate of airworthiness in respect of an aircraft registered in the Isle of Man if it is satisfied that the aircraft is fit to fly having regard to the design, construction, workmanship and materials of the aircraft and of any equipment carried in the aircraft which it considers necessary for the airworthiness of the aircraft; and the results of flying trials, and such other tests of the aircraft as it may require. |
The Solution |
The client required a Registration Authority professionally managed service that was designed to operate as friendly, deliver a customer focused service and operate with the skills, processes and knowledge to recommend Airworthiness Certification for the registration of high quality private jets, corporate jets and turbine engine helicopters. |
