Implementation of an effective Maintenance Error Management Program

BAE Systems

BAE SYSTEMS Military Air Solutions

The Project

Provision of a bespoke error management program for BAE SYSTEMS MAS across ever expanding locations, currently standing at 10 sites

The aim of this was to provide the BAE SYSTEMS MAS Management team with a practical understanding of Error Management Systems in production and maintenance environments, designing a customised solution to the unique structure of the organisation.

The Challenge

The client needed to evaluate and identify critical areas of business risk and appraise the current cultural behaviours within the organisation at all levels.

To develop and deliver a growing suite of training packages, aimed at fully engaging management, staff, nominated Maintenance Error Investigators; including the specialist Military requirements such as MAOS.

To develop suites of protocols which accurately reflect civil and military environments best practice.

The programme needed to be relevant to delegates, highly credible, and develop error management awareness, behaviour and attitude within a flexible on-going partnership structure.

The Solution

With a strong partnership approach, a structured consultation process resulted in a bespoke package which was delivered for the client. On-site targeted analysis which accurately reflected the cultural needs of each site, resulted in a demonstrable error reporting and analysis system.

Bespoke training programmes were all delivered into the organisation with a focus on quality and return on investment for the client.
