Who’s in control of Continuing Airworthiness?

Baines Simmons joins debate ahead of new EASA regulations at MRO Europe

Baines Simmons’ position as a leading aviation safety improvement consultancy was further consolidated when the company both exhibited at the 15th annual MRO Europe Conference and Exhibition held in Amsterdam earlier this month (9-11 October 2012), and joined representatives from EASA and TAP to host a panel session that discussed the proposed changes to the regulations concerning how operators manage continuing airworthiness.

Having presented a paper entitled “Contracting Continuing Airworthiness Management – An Independent View” on the panel session as well as being available for consultation on the Baines Simmons stand, David Innes, Principal Consultant commented: "This is our third time at MRO Europe and, as in previous years, it proved an extremely valuable networking experience for us, allowing us to further demonstrate our unsurpassed ability to meet the emerging needs of the aviation industry for aviation safety training and consultancy."

"Our inclusion on the panel that discussed both the subcontracting of continuing airworthiness tasks and the contracting of continuing airworthiness management was testament to our status as a leading aviation safety consultancy and training provider. Once again, we were able to demonstrate Baines Simmons’ unique capability to generate practical and effective solutions in the fast-changing world of European aviation regulations."

Driving the future of aircraft maintenance, the MRO Europe Conference and Exhibition is the premier event for information gathering and knowledge-sharing.
