Keven Baines
Managing Director
Keven has instigated and delivered safety expertise to 235 of the world's leading aviation organisations across 42 countries and his services to aviation have been acknowledged with a Royal Aeronautical Society Human Factors Practitioners Award.
He is a currently a member of the RAeS Human Factors Group Engineering, EASA Human Factors working group and EASA SMS group. His current specialisations include design, consulting and training in Safety Management Systems and Human Factors and Error Management Systems.

Bob Simmons
Technical Director
Bob supports senior industry and regulatory authority managers with the interpretation and efficient implementation of international aircraft airworthiness and safety standards.
Bob is an Airworthiness regulations policy advisor to UK Ministry of Defence, Isle of Man Government and other approved organisations. He has a wealth of experience regarding the practical application of CAA and EASA organisation approval requirements and was responsible at London Gatwick for UK CAA policy regarding JAR OPS 1 and 3 sub-part M and JAR 145.
A Member of the Royal Aeronautical Society (MRAeS), an Incorporated Engineer (IEng) and member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Airworthiness Technical Advisory Committee.

Chris Drew
Business Development Manager
Chris is our Safety Management Specialist; he delivers Consultancy and training in Human Factors, and Error Management, Advanced Human Factors, Safety Management Systems, Part M for commercial and non-commercial organisations, Part 145, Maintenance Error Investigation, Error Management and Airworthiness Management Diagnostics.
Chris began his career as an aircraft engineer in the RAF working on various transport fleets. On leaving the RAF Chris was employed as a 'C' Licensed Aircraft Engineer in various positions in both line and heavy base maintenance. In 2003 Chris joined Baines Simmons, and has worked in his fields of specialism with a variety of companies and organisations such as EASA, Boeing, Rolls-Royce, GE, BAE, UK and Swedish CAA, QANTAS, British Airways, Thomsonfly, bmi, Virgin, AAIB, QinetiQ, RAF, MOD amongst many others.

- Prior to Baines Simmons Chris was employed as a Part 66 B1 and C Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer in supervisory positions working on a variety of wide and narrow bodied aircraft, in both passenger and cargo configurations throughout Europe.

Grant Findlay
Business Development Manager
As our industry leading Error Investigator, Grant has designed, developed and delivered targeted Error Management programmes, specifically designed to empower our client companies to proactively manage risk resulting from human error. These are in use with organisations across several global locations. Grant is also our specialist in the provision of consultancy and training services in the Audit Techniques, Human Factors and Regulations (civil and military).
He is a member of the Royal Aeronautical Society Maintenance Human Factors Working Group and Non-Corporate Member committees and is currently responsible for the management of several key military and civil accounts.

Howard Leach
Head of Operations
Howard has an overview understanding across all Baines Simmons expertise areas. As our head of client operations, he provides clients with smooth scheduling of services to meet their needs. His team constantly receive above 90% good and excellent customer ratings.
Howard manages our team of over 50 consultants, who have led major Aviation Safety programmes to many of the world’s largest aviation organisations. Howard has built a team of top quartile subject matter leaders, strategic, management and technical consultants that enthusiastically and professionally take on new challenges, new ideas and latest best practices. This team have led and managed large, medium and small projects to over 300 Civil and Defence clients.
Howard has senior management and leadership experience in engineering and is a licensed engineer, engineering graduate and chartered engineer. Prior to Baines Simmons he was a Maintenance Manager at British Airways’ long haul maintenance repair facility responsible for the safe and timely maintenance of their wide body fleet.
Neil RichardsonSenior Consultant
Neil delivers Safety and Regulatory consultancy and training expertise to numerous Aviation organisations and Authorities worldwide, both Civil and Military. Neil specialises in Maintenance Human Factors, EASA Part 145, EASA Part M and Maintenance Programmes.
Having gained experience as a Powerplant Development Engineer and previously as a Supervisor/Inspector, Neil has worked with a variety of narrow bodied fleets in both a Technical Services environment and a Base Maintenance role.

Kevin HopwoodSenior Consultant
With 30 years experience Kevin brings a wealth of knowledge, and experience to Baines Simmons. These experiences have been gained in both military and civil aerospace environments and include a range of activities that include aircraft and component maintenance, management of EASA Maintenance and Production approvals and ISO 9001/AS EN 9100 approvals, UK MoD MAOS activities and Human Factors.
Kevin is one of our leading Maintenance Human Factors and Error Management specialists, and delivers these programmes to a large number of clients involved in both the civil and military aspects of aviation maintenance. Kevin is also one of our key training deliverers in Quality Assurance and Audit Techniques, EASA Production and Maintenance Approvals, Goods Inwards Inspection and our recently introduced and highly successful UK MoD MAOS training courses.

David Innes
Principal Consultant
David has been responsible for the establishment and development of quality assurance and audit programmes, the compilation and approval of company expositions, procedures manuals, and MELs as well as the management of aircraft maintenance and reliability programmes.
David brings a wealth of experience gained from a number of engineering and quality management positions across the spectrum of commercial air transport including low cost scheduled, cargo, and charter operations.
Was a previous Deputy Director (Engineering) at Confidential Human Factors Incident Reporting Programme (CHIRP).

Mike operates as finance director to Baines Simmons, supporting the business in all its financial management.
Mike has had significant experience with FTSE 100, FTSE 250 and SME's providing hands-on operational and strategic management support. He is a Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and holds an IOD - Diploma in Company Direction.

Richard Simpson
Managed Services Manager
Richard has significant aviation experience both as an airworthiness surveyor in the UK CAA and in Quality Management Systems having previously been employed as Quality Assurance Manager at FLS Aerospace (UK) and as a Quality Assurance Engineer with British Airways.
During his time with the CAA he was a member of the EASA Part M working group with responsibility for implementing CAA policy and procedures with respect to the application of Part M and associated Subparts.
He has also been involved with the MoD Airworthiness Regulator providing advice, guidance and training on the drafting and implementation of the Military Part 145 and M Defence Standards.

Karl Brady

George Crowe
Consultant
George has a civilian maintenance career spanning almost 20 years combined with 24 years Royal Air Force covering a varied career in Africa, Middle Far & East and Europe.
Career background:
- Prior to Baines Simmons George was the Assistant manager at Cathay Pacific Airways in Hong Kong, working as part of the Flight Operations and Technical Training Department (Airbus training).
- He was responsible for the development and day-to-day running of the Airbus pilot technical and ground engineering training and was also part of the team which developed and implemented Maintenance Human Factors Training for Cathay Pacific.
- He has been a technical instructor for both Gulf Air and Monarch Airlines, and also served in a civilian capacity for the Qatar Emiri Air forces Alpha Jet Squadron - a civilian maintenance career spanning almost 20 years.
Pete Hogston
Consultant
Pete has 30 years flying experience; initially trained by the Royal Navy as a Commando Helicopter pilot his commercial career began on the North Sea flying from Aberdeen. He operated the AS 332L, AS 365N and the S 76A & A+ from various locations including a period living off-shore where the secondary role was Search and Rescue. During his younger years some of his time was spent flying B206 for an on-shore charter company for a variety of clients.
He enjoyed 9 years with the Royal Flight of Oman where he flew AS 330J, AS 332L1 & C helicopters supporting the Sultans Palace Office and the Royal Guard of Oman. His secondary role was detachment management and CRM.
On leaving Oman he joined Go fly limited as a First officer on 737-300’s and became involved in cultural and business development initiatives, after 2 years was promoted to Captain; his flying career and managerial experience was further enhanced when easyJet purchased Go fly as part of their expansion plans.
Peter was engaged as a consultant by a leading UK Training organisation working on CRM and training projects for various clients.

Jim Done
Consultant
Jim specializes in a number of key consultancy services for us, specifically he is our regulatory system development expert
Jim has over 40 years of experience in the aviation industry, culminating in the position of Chief Surveyor and Head of the Aircraft Maintenance Standards Department with the UK Civil Aviation Authority. Jim was instrumental in the production of CAP 712 (Safety Management Systems) and for leading the Team responsible for raising the awareness and development of Human Factors in aviation maintenance in the UK.

Captain Nick Carpenter
Consultant
Nick brings twenty one years of industry experience and is a Flight Operations Human Factors and Safety Investigation specialist and latterly Nick was a key member of the QANTAS Safety department.
Career background:
- Nick has enjoyed a diverse and interesting flying career. A Royal Military Academy Sandhurst educated, military trained and commercially experienced safety professional.
- He completed the Royal Navy's Flight Safety Officers course in Yeovilton and was later responsible for Army-wide changes in operating procedures.
- On leaving the Army, Nick went on to fly a variety of aircraft types throughout Europe (Fokker 50, ERJ145 and 135 and Fokker 100) culminating in now flying the Boeing 737-800 as a captain at a large European low cost carrier.
- Nick has been the Air Safety Officer at two airlines, being responsible at both for introducing their Safety Management and OFDM Systems.
Al Sarjeant
Consultant
During his 35 years in aviation, Al has dealt with all aspects of aircraft maintenance from hands-on engineering to strategic planning and procurement. As an ex-apprentice, he spent 12 years as a RAF technician until being commissioned as an engineering officer.
He has since managed aero maintenance organisations, implemented support chain initiatives, taken a Tornado squadron on world-wide deployments, managed future capability programmes, delivered new concepts in partnership with Industry, and shaped the training development and operational performance standards for all RAF ground trades. After leaving the RAF, Al designed the Mil Part 145 compliancy framework for BAE Systems to undertake maintenance on behalf of the MOD.

Judith LucasTraining Support Co-ordinator
Judith is our office administrator, helping our trainers’ lives run smoothly by organizing their travel and hotels as well as all the training material and notes.
Following 16 years within various passenger operational areas at British Airways, Judith left Heathrow’s Terminal 4 to enjoy several years off having her family. Since then she has returned to operational and administrative roles at various organizations, including Gulf Air and Sony UK Ltd.
She has gained an invaluable wealth of customer contact skills during her career as well as varied office responsibilities and is now happy to be back in an exciting and successful aviation organisation in a key supporting administrative role.
Allan Price

Allan is a training professional with extensive experience in the development, implementation and evaluation of work-based training programs, ensuring they meet their required objectives.
Joining us from GE Aircraft Engine Services, Allan specialises in the field of Maintenance Human Factors and other quality-based training courses, including the design and development of Continuation Training with an overall aim of improving organisational culture through continued Safety promotion using a variety of communication methods.

Tim Gibbs

Evelyn Whittington
Office Administration Manger
Evelyn has over 30 years experience working in the aviation industry, initially for British Overseas Airways Corporation (BOAC) and latterly for British Airways, in the Flight Operations Division.
Evelyn is our full-time Office Manager and is responsible for managing our international business and client relationships.
Prior to joining Baines Simmons she was Assistant Manager Operations & Infrastructure with the International Air Transport Association (IATA) in the London Regional Technical Office, covering the North Atlantic & North American Region. Her responsibilities included the management and resolution of airline identified problems and air safety issues. Evelyn has a wealth of office management experience gained both in the finance and aviation industries.
Mary Lejeune
Projects Co-ordinator
Mary is our projects co-ordinator and is key in the co-ordination, marketing and administration of various events and special projects undertaken by Baines Simmons.
A graduate member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, Mary has a wealth of experience in training, learning and development, gained over 20 years in both the public and commercial sectors.
Before joining the Baines Simmons team in February 2006, Mary worked with the UK Civil Aviation Authority. She started there as the in-house Training Adviser, a role which included the development, design and delivery of a variety of training programmes for staff. She then worked with CAA International, where her responsibilities included managing the provision of aviation training for clients in the UK, Europe and worldwide.
Roland Carr
Consultant
Roland has over 30 years experience both in civil and military aviation. Responsible for the delivery of Maintenance Human Factors and Error Management courses to all levels of industry.
Roland joined us from Marshall Aerospace, were as a member of the Training Department he was instrumental in developing and delivering their Human Factors Program to both internal and external customers. He was also responsible for the management and supervisory development program. He has instructed in various locations including Europe, USA and the Far East, delivering numerous aircraft system courses, plus development programs, which included Train the Trainer and Facilitation courses.

Francesca Balgobind
Francesca has over 15 years of accounting experience gained from working with various companies in Zimbabwe and the UK.
She is responsible for our book-keeping and general accounting and provides assistance to our Finance Director in the financial support of the business.
Since leaving Zimbabwe, Francesca has worked with several companies in the UK and brings to Baines Simmons a wealth of experience and knowledge. She has familiarity with many accounting software packages, including payroll.
Adrian Pollock
Consultant
With over 25 years experience in the aviation industry, Adrian started his career in The Royal Electrical & Mechanical Engineers (REME) and worked as a Licensed Aircraft Engineer with a number of airlines, including British Airways and Qantas. Adrian is an EASA Part 66 B 1 and C Licensed Aircraft Engineer with a wide range of experience on rotary wing, corporate and commercial aircraft. He has carried out records audits and physical inspections on a variety of aircraft types.

Steve HarrissSenior Consultant
Steve, with a wealth of aviation experience, is our Accident and Quality investigation specialist. He is a key member of our Error Management Diagnostic team and a Lead Auditor
Steve started his career with the Royal Navy and has over 24 years experience in the aviation industry across a spectrum of roles on both fixed wing and rotary aircraft, ranging through Engineer to Engineering Manager. As a Technical Support Manager with the Royal Navy, Steve was responsible for the in-service review demonstration of a major avionic modifications. More recently Steve has been an Air Accident Investigator for the Royal Navy, where he played a pivotal role in many investigations of both a technical and human factors nature. A true passionate professional he has given papers both UK and USA on reducing FOD, and FOD related occurrences.

Stuart Downer
Consultant
Stuart has thirty five years of civil aircraft maintenance experience with a large airline and a business jet maintenance organisation. He spent twenty years with British airways as an aircraft maintenance engineer, the last five of those as a Supervisor on B747 heavy maintenance checks. Stuart also worked for fourteen years with British Airways in the Quality Assurance department, predominantly in various management positions, with responsibility for Line Maintenance, Franchises and Subsidiaries, Fleet Maintenance and Component Overhaul.
The last two years have been with TAG Farnborough Engineering as the Quality and Training Manager. Responsible for managing the Quality system under EASA / FAA / Cayman / Nigerian / Bermudan / Russian maintenance approvals.

Dave Lewis
Consultant
Dave has more than 40 years experience in the aviation industry including 29 years with the Civil Aviation Authority. During his last six years at the CAA Dave held the post of Deputy Chief Surveyor with overall responsibility for the maintenance standards and policy for the Aircraft Maintenance Standards Department. A key responsibility for Dave at this time was to liaise with the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and manage the transitional arrangements for the implementation of the EASA Part 145 and Part M Regulations in the UK.

David Sturgess
Consultant
David has a wealth of experience spanning nearly forty years in commercial aviation. He has held various senior positions in airlines around the world including a number of prestigious start-ups where he was directly responsible for creating the obligatory technical, quality and safety systems.
As a certified lead auditor he has performed numerous audits of airlines, maintenance facilities and services. He has managed the inspection, acceptance and factory deliveries of over two hundred new heavy jet aircraft.
Whilst predominately an engineering and quality practitioner he has also successfully managed various business development and revenue generation projects.

Chris Hart

Chris has served almost 40 years in aircraft maintenance, safety, quality, airworthiness and aviation regulation. He holds a current EASA Part 66 Aircraft Maintenance Licence in Categories A, B1 and C and an FAA A & P Certificate. Additional industry training received includes ISO 9001:2000 and AS9100/9110 Lead Auditor, general management, accident/incident investigation, operations emergency planning, human factors, aircraft maintenance/reliability programmes and project management.
Career background:
- Eight years with the UK CAA as an Airworthiness Surveyor at the Heathrow Regional Office. Primary oversight responsibilities included the BA 747 Fleet, Jet2.com, HAECO (Hong Kong) and TAECO (Xiamen).

Peter Hibbert
Consultant
Peter has 20 years experience in a military aviation environment having started as a technician in both the flight line and MRO environments, working in the UK and overseas. He has experience as a senior supervisor and is a training professional with extensive experience in training design, implementation, development and delivery, both with the Royal Air Force and civilian defence contractors, and specialises in the design of computer based training packages.
Peter is personally committed to ensuring high safety standards throughout aviation, especially regarding Human Factors and FOD.

Elaine Matthews
Elaine has joined us as Airworthiness Co-ordination Administrator to help run our Aircraft Register managed service, assisting in organising aircraft surveys around the world for the registration of high quality private jets, corporate jets and turbine engine helicopters.
Elaine has over 30 years’ experience in various administrative support roles, in both public and private sectors of business. She has previously worked as a PA and office administrator for a scientific and technical local business and more recently has worked within the legal environment.
Although not from an aviation background she is relishing learning new skills and processes and very much enjoying putting her energies to work in this new and exciting role.
Ursula TuckerOpen Training Support Co-ordinator
Ursula has recently joined Baines Simmons as our full time office administrator, involved with general office and training administration.
In her previous roles Ursula had the opportunity to develop a wide variety of business and administrative skills and was able to build excellent customer and supplier relationships. She enjoys working in a busy, customer focused environment and is looking forward to her new role with us.
Jenny O'Donnell
Consultant
Jenny is a Chartered Engineer specialising in investigation and human factors training and consultancy. She worked at BAE Systems for a number of years as a ground school instructor and later a Principal Flight Safety Engineer. In her safety role, Jenny was responsible for providing flight safety support of 1100+ aircraft worldwide from flight operations, human factors and technical perspectives.
Jenny has also worked as a human factors consultant where she was involved in various successful projects for Eurocontrol, Rail Safety and Standards Board, Network Rail and Johannesburg Airport. She has delivered human factors and investigation techniques training to railway drivers, railway signallers, pilots and ground staff up to MSc level.

Peter Schneider
Consultant
Peter is a freelance Technical Instructor specialising in systems training on Hawker 125, Airbus A320, A330 aircraft and Human Factors Training and consultancy. He was an engineer in the Royal Air Force for 25 years (C130, F4 Phantom, Technical Instructor, Puma helicopter and Tornado). For the latter 15 years, Peter was a Senior N.C.O., rising to Chief Technician, running structures repair, battle damage and aircraft servicing teams.
For 12 years Peter was a Technical Instructor at Monarch Aircraft Engineering, teaching Airbus Mechanical systems to all levels of students. In his safety role, Peter was responsible for setting up and delivering Human Factors Initial and Continuation Training. This involved all company personnel from different levels (Directors, Management and staff) and was so successful it was delivered to third party customers.
Peter has attended and passed the Advanced Human Factors in Aircraft Maintenance course at Cranfield University.
Corina Canavan
Training and Learning Development Manager
Corina joins Baines Simmons as our Training and Learning Development Manager.
Corina brings with her extensive experience in developing, managing and marketing professional training courses. Prior to joining Baines Simmons, Corina worked at CAA International Ltd, the UK CAA’s commercial arm, as its Training Development Manager. In this role, she was responsible for developing and delivering a catalogue of public access and bespoke training courses aimed at clients from both the regulatory sector and from the wider aviation industry.
Before moving into the field of aviation safety training, Corina worked for over 10 years in the sphere of communication and cultural awareness training in London, working with major blue-chip organisations. Her roles in this field included delivering training, course development, marketing and project management. Corina has experience of organising and delivering courses internationally, having worked with clients based in Europe, Asia, North America as well as Australia.

Marcus Madden

Marcus has over 30 years of military and civil aviation experience.
During his twelve years service in the Royal Air Force Marcus worked on fast jet, maritime and transport aircraft. He conducted and supervised line and hangar maintenance worldwide.
After service in the Royal Air Force, Marcus moved into civil aviation. During his career he has worked with BA, Channel Express, DHL and TNT in diverse roles in the UK, Continental Europe and North America.

Claire Simons
Consultant
Claire delivers Regulation, Human Factors and Error Management training to most of our leading world-leading clients. She joined Baines Simmons following an active career in Error Management working for KLM UK and TNT where she managed to interface the need for safe operations into busy commercial operations. This unique experience she is able to apply for all our clients and since joining us Claire has specialised in error management and has delivered key programmes with QinetiQ, BAE SYSTEMS and the Royal Air Force.
Claire holds an MSc in Human Factors and Safety Assessment in Aeronautics from Cranfield University. This Academic background coupled to her extensive practical experience enables her to always deliver insightful interventions for all the projects she has delivered for our Clients. Further to this Claire forms part of our Research and Development team looking at the latest thought leading ideas in aviation safety and error management. Recently when asked Claire commented, “I am completely passionate about delivering useful interventions for Error Management.”
Claire is a licensed B1 engineer with over 15 years of experience in line and base maintenance. She has spent a large part of that time as a Quality Assurance Engineer and managing MEM systems.
Dr Sarah Flaherty
Consultant
Dr Sarah Flaherty has had a varied career, for the most part in the field of aviation human factors, supplemented by experience in the rail and petrochemical industries.
After graduating with a degree in Psychology, Sarah first began working as a researcher on behalf of the University of Manchester on a proactive safety management system for British Airways Engineering. She subsequently joined the company full time where she was involved with, amongst other things, the development of Human Factors policy, the implementation and validation of cultural change interventions as well as training and education.
In 1997 Sarah joined Boeing Commercial Airplane Group as a contracted Human Factors Specialist in the Maintenance Human Factors Group, part of Customer Services. During her time there, she was responsible for the continued development and implementation of the Maintenance Error Decision Aid (MEDA) tool - the de facto industry tool for investigating error in maintenance - with customer airlines around the world.
On returning to the UK, Sarah worked in a Quality and Project Management role for a Freight and Logistics company and in May 2004 commenced a PhD in the Air Transport Group at Cranfield University. Sponsored by Cranfield and the UK Rail, Air and Marine Accident Investigation Branches, Sarah is studying the desired qualities essential for a superior accident investigator.
Sarah is a graduate member of the British Psychological Society.
Craig Simmonds

Craig has had 22 years working in fixed and rotary wing general aviation. The majority of time as a licenced helicopter engineer, maintaining AOC and VIP aircraft. More recently Craig has held the positions of Technical Services Manager, Continuing Airworthiness Manager and Airworthiness Review Signatory for an AOC operator and Part 145 organisation.

Jeff FieldhouseConsultant

Joanne GreenConsultant
Joanne is a passionate aviation professional with over 18 years in the industry. Starting her career within in-flight services, she has developed her knowledge in many areas including training, management and consultancy. Her operational experience includes long haul, scheduled, charter, executive and low cost. During her career she has worked in flight operations, recruitment, safety and security training, an accredited CRMI Ground School for over 9 years and a member of the RAeS Human Factors Cabin crew standing group, Joanne strives to develop and improve flight safety including the understanding and general awareness of human factors. Joanne has worked on a number of domestic, European and International projects including AOC applications, of note the first worldwide EASA AOC for a corporate operator, several airline start-ups, the design and development of EU-OPS safety and training manuals plus courseware and delivery of practical training. As a consultant Joanne has considerable experience in the recruiting of aviation personnel including pilot selection and is an IRAC Auditor.

Martin CouplandConsultant
Martin has been in and around aircraft (both military and civilian) since 1971.
He is an airframe engineer who spent the best part of 30 years in the Royal Air Force working on a variety of both fixed wing and rotary aircraft, culminating in surveying and assessing damaged aircraft and organising/managing their subsequent repair.
Following his military career, he took up a position delivering aircraft structural repair technique training to both Service and civilian technicians.
He subsequently extended his portfolio by joining, at its launch, Lufthansa Resource Technical Training, a partnership based in South Wales set up to deliver training to engineers seeking their aircraft engineering licenses, as well as to contractors involved with assembling Airbus aircraft in Hamburg, Toulouse and Tianjin.
This instructor’s post involved Martin travelling to all corners of the globe, from the Falkland Islands through several European countries to Uzbekistan, China, Malaysia and Brunei.
Martin has specialised in Human Factors and Aviation Legislation during his time with Lufthansa and now sees his role with Baines Simmons as an excellent opportunity to further develop and impart his knowledge in these subjects.
He is a keep-fit enthusiast and enjoys riding round the lanes on two wheels, be it pedal- or engine-powered.
Paul CoultonConsultant
Paul has had a full and varied career in Aviation to date. In 26 years he has been involved in line and heavy maintenance for a number of Airlines and MRO's at home and overseas, has experience of lease management, operational and defect management, heavy maintenance check management and on-the-job traning. His focus now is to use his past experience to assist organisations to develop and maintain a strong safety culture.

Ronnie SmithConsultant
Ronnie has over 20 years experience as an Air Traffic Controller in the Royal Air Force covering Terminal and En-Route radar disciplines as well as Aerodrome Control and Emergency Control. He is a Human Factors and Safety Management Systems specialist with practical experience across the various disciplines required within Safety Management Systems and in applying them in practical environments. He has extensive experience in Incident Investigation and has served as a professional advisor to the United Kingdom AIRPROX Board. Ronnie had the privilege of running the London Distress & Diversion Cell and says that the continual exposure to aircraft in emergency instilled a passion for Human Factors and Safety Management Systems in him. More recently Ronnie has been responsible for overseeing the Military Air Traffic Control Safety Management System and delivering all Human Factors and Safety Management training to Royal Air Force and Royal Navy Air Traffic Controllers, he has also been involved with the development of the Defence Aviation Error Management System.
Ronnie holds an MSc in Human Factors and a Masters in Defence Administration, both from Cranfield University. He is a Member of the Royal Aeronautical Society and the EASA SMS Group.
