Richard is a highly skilled consultant with a unique career in civil and military aviation spanning more than 40 years. He offers clients extensive knowledge and experience in aviation regulations as well as maintenance. He is a highly experienced and authorised airworthiness surveyor for the issue and renewals of Certificates of Airworthiness, including export Certificates of Airworthiness for aircraft registered with the Isle of Man Aircraft Registry.

Expertise and capability

Surveys aircraft and records using his significant regulatory knowledge. He possesses a working knowledge of the continuous airworthiness requirements of EASA Part M and Part 145, as well as CAA, EASA and FAA airworthiness frameworks.
Technically consults as a highly experienced specialist on extremely varied aircraft types, spanning general aviation, medium transport passenger aircraft, corporate, military fast jets and aircraft painting and interior refurbishments.
Advises and engages with aircraft maintenance providers and operators across the UK, Europe and Middle East and is both comfortable working/liaising with engineers on the hangar floor and senior management in the board room.
Career background and experience

Richard is a qualified EASA Part 66 Licence holder with many ratings from general aviation through to corporate aircraft. As well as hands-on maintenance support, he has held a number of senior engineering roles, including ten years with the RAF. His extensive aviation experience incorporates a breadth of type ratings held on his Part 66 B1/C and UK CAA Section L licences. Qualifications include an EASA Part 66 B1 and C Licence, and he is an ARC signatory.
