Steve Myall

Steve has over 40 years experience across a wide spectrum of the aviation industry. He has been involved in Maintenance, Technical Services, Sales and Marketing, Customer Support, Continuing Airworthiness Management and Regulating. He is able to offers his clients both broad and deep insights from his significant experience working for two aircraft operators, a manufacturer and a regulator. He has held many management positions and has worked all around the world.

Expertise and capability

Consults and manages complex projects on continuing airworthiness with organisations including, maintenance programmes, human factors, safety enhancements and safety management systems.
Consults and trains using his excellent knowledge of ICAO, EASA and UK CAA regulations used in assisting start-up operations, the development of existing organisations or assisting NAA’s on application of requirements.
Consults and advises on compliance, performance audits, regulatory approvals and quality system effectiveness.
Career background and experience

Prior to joining Baines Simmons in 2011, Steve was Manager of the North East & Midlands regional Office of the CAA. His career achievements include:

Writing the Maintenance Management exposition and associated procedures for a UK operator to achieve JAR OPS accreditation.
Managing the continuing airworthiness of a fleet of Boeing 737’s for a UK Operator, before swapping for a fleet of Fokker 100’s with a major European airline.
Setting up a regional Support team for BAe 146/RJ.
Stephen has a MSc in Air Transport Engineering, Diploma in Management Studies, and is an Incorporated Engineer and Member of the Royal Aeronautical Society.
