Aeroman gets up to speed with Safety
Latin America’s leading supplier of aircraft maintenance solutions, Aeroman, has engaged Baines Simmons Americas to launch its Safety Management System (SMS).
Experts in SMS from Baines Simmons Americas worked at Aeroman’s El Salvador site to enable their SMS team and senior management to understand issues including Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Control (HIRAC) and Effective Event Investigation (EEI). There was also a day spent engaging senior leadership on the benefits of an effective SMS. Training was delivered to 21 members of Aeroman’s senior management team, and 18 investigators over a period of five days.

In addition, Baines Simmons Americas assisted the Aeroman team with a comprehensive review of the business’ draft SMS Manual and revision of the company’s SMS Safety Policy. Further value was added to the efforts of all involved by the attendance of the Principal Maintenance Inspector (PMI) of the Civil Aviation Authority (AAC) along with the Head of Certification at both the HIRAC and EEI courses.
