Keven Baines, Director of Baines Simmons, said: “Building on a successful two year partnership, we are delighted to further cement our relationship with SAS to help further advance its safety and airworthiness performance. Initially we will be providing a range of in-company Safety Management, Regulations and Airworthiness training programmes. This will sit alongside a wider programme of consultancy services to develop SAS skills in Continuing Airworthiness Management and in further embedding and developing a Safety Culture across the SAS group.”
SAS Chief Operating Officer, Flemming Jensen, said: “We have turned to Baines Simmons for specialist consulting and training support for the last two years and have enjoyed encouraging results with extremely positive feedback from our team. This has given us the confidence to enter a longer term partnership as we look to continue to improve our fast-maturing approach to Safety Risk Management, driving our business forwards to embrace and implement a more proactive and predictive approach and risk-based oversight from our NAA. I value Baines Simmons’ high standards and am looking forward to a productive and close working relationship with their team.”
Steve Hough, Head of Safety at SAS, further added: “We have all been very impressed by the approach Baines Simmons takes to training and consulting; corridor feedback from our management team months later remains excellent. Thanks to their help, we have been able to re-focus our efforts to drive a cohesive Group-wide approach to further improve our standards of Airworthiness and Safety Risk Management.”
