Baines Simmons Director Bob Simmons to speak at inaugural International Military Airworthiness Regulation Conference on 15 November
Bob Simmons, Director at Air Partner’s aviation safety consultancy division Baines Simmons, will be one of the speakers at the inaugural International Military Airworthiness Regulation Conference (IMARC), which will be held in Melbourne, Australia, on 14-15 November 2016.
The two-day conference provides both military and civilian Airworthiness Authorities and Industry partners with a forum to gain insight into the benefits of an emerging global convention on military airworthiness regulation. The event will also explore the reasoning behind moving away from bespoke airworthiness systems, and lessons learned from organisations that have transitioned to a new airworthiness system.
Bob’s talk, entitled “Implementation of a New Regulatory System and National Cultural Impacts That Need to be Considered”, will take place from 11:40 to: 1210 on Tuesday 15 November 2016.
Based on Baines Simmons’ experience with the implementation of new regulatory systems around the world, Bob will be giving his views on the main challenges and pitfalls associated with a transformational change and the opportunity that this presents for defence forces, suppliers and partnered organisations. He will provide insights into the impact of organisational and national culture, in order to realise the full potential benefits behind new regulations.
Baines Simmons, which was acquired by Air Partner in August 2015, has a long history of working with international military and government organisations, including the UK Military Aviation Authority (MAA), the Royal Navy and the Ministry of Defence (MoD).
