Baines Simmons hosts Safety Culture Workshops at the World Aviation Safety Summit, Dubai 2016

Baines Simmons is to address the hot topic of Safety Culture at this year’s World Aviation Safety Summit (WASS 2016) which takes place in Dubai on 25th -26th April.

World Aviation Safety Summit, Dubai 2016As the event’s official Workshop Partner, we will be hosting two free workshops to help delegates from predominantly Middle Eastern aviation organisations to understand the benefits of having a safety culture and in particular, how creating a Just Culture helps drive safety performance.

In addition, Keven Baines, Director of Baines Simmons, will be part of the industry panel of experts who have been invited to discuss Safety Culture on Day 1 of the programme. Addressing the Summit, which is expected to number in excess of 400 senior aviation professionals from all areas of industry, the panel will examine issues such as:

  • How to achieve a Just Culture?
  • How to evaluate best practice in a multi-cultural airline?
  • What constitutes an effective safety training programme for managers?
  • How to implement a Just Culture across outsourced services?

Our workshops have been designed to provide a clear link with the Summit’s key theme of ‘Strategies that save lives and grow businesses.’ Keven Baines will share our current thinking on safety culture and its intrinsic link with how well safety is led from the boardroom. He will offer insights gained from our international aviation safety consulting programmes on the common challenges faced by organisations as well as potential solutions. Delegates can expect to take away practically focussed insights and information that can be quickly put into practice in the workplace. In addition, each workshop will ask delegates to self-assess their organisation’s approach to, and understanding of, safety culture, allowing for peer-benchmarking on this important subject which is widely acknowledged as being critical for improving overall safety.

Delegates can register to attend the FREE workshops on arrival at WASS, which takes place at the InterContinental Dubai Festival City on 25th -26th April.
