Keven Baines, MD, to speak at 2013 Airline Engineering & Maintenance Safety Conference
10-11 July, 2013, London
Keven Baines will address the UK’s first Airline Engineering and Maintenance Safety Conference on two safety issues close to his heart: safety leadership and SMS integration, which he sees as two of the main safety challenges for industry to overcome.
Against the backdrop of fundamental regulatory changes that will come into play as a result of the MDM-055 regulations in 2014, Keven will talk about how to engage executive and senior management, specifically with regards to securing their buy-in to addressing and improving an organisation’s safety culture. His paper will also cover the importance of having a strong safety vision, effective governance, performance and overall accountability across internal and commercial boundaries.
Keven will join Darren Cook, Manager of Air Safe, Qantas Engineering and Simon Stewart, Group Director of Safety at Avincis Mission Critical Services to discuss the challenges of integrating and embedding Safety Management Systems on Day 1 of the conference.
