World Leaders display effective SMS at AAIS event
On the 4th of February 2010, Jerry Allen, Managing Director of Baines Simmons Americas gave two presentations on Safety Management to delegates at the 2010 Singapore Airshow. The sessions delivered were: “Safety Culture..What’s Yours? – The Use of Cultural Assessment Tools” and “A Blueprint for Safety Management System (SMS) Success”.
The sessions were very well received with most attendees discussing the topics more during breaks and after the conclusion of the days sessions. The day was declared an outstanding success and further established Baines Simmons regional presence and world leadership in aviation safety
The event was sponsored by the Association of Aviation Industries (Singapore). AAIS and Baines Simmons are discussing a working agreement for further partnership to provide SMS implementation expertise to the Singaporean Aviation Industry. AAIS members constitute over 115 organisations, many of them facilities of major companies such as Thales, Pratt & Whitney and Goodrich as well as local giants like SIAEC, SAESL and ST Aero. The Singaporean aviation industry employs over 20,000 people locally and even more overseas in one of the world’s most rapidly growing aviation markets – Asia.
