Malcolm Trigwell

Mal is a professional engineer and an experienced Part M and 145 Auditor with worldwide audit experience. He has amassed more than 30 years’ engineering experience in both the military and civilian sectors, working on commercial passenger and freight jets, light aircraft and vintage aircraft. Mal’s particular expertise is in the fields of line and base maintenance, engine overhaul and test. He has a positive solution-oriented attitude together with a strong customer focus.

A current B1-1, B1-3, B2, and C EASA licence holder together with FAA A&P, with a wide band of type ratings.
Authorised Airworthiness Surveyor for the Isle of Man and for the MAA.
Project management, covering passenger to freight conversions, interior reconfigurations and aircraft introduction.
Extensive experience with lease acceptance and return.
Career background and experience

Mal began his career in 1978 in the RAF, ending 13 years later with the Queen’s Flight in 1991. He has 19 years’ civil experience covering line and base maintenance as well as engine overhaul on a wide variety of aircraft types including fixed wing and helicopters. Building on his management roles within Titan Airways and extensive engineering expertise, Mal has worked as a Consultant since 2008, covering Airworthiness and Part M/145 auditing.
